|
| Kayak tours are a great way to get out on the water and see many
of the habitat Florida has to offer. From Wild Pigs, to Ospreys and Eagles, Manatees to Alligators you’ll
have a chance to witness nature in all its wealth firsthand and from the
security of a kayak. We can take
you to Native American Mounds. For
1,600 years these mounds were a prehistoric ceremonial center. Native
Americans traveled great distances to the complex to bury their dead with
ceremony and to participate in trade activities. Crystal River has several
of these mounds in the area. Travel
by kayak to see some of them. Learn
more of the history of these sacred sites. Find out why these mounds are so close in relativity to the mounds
of the Aztecs.
Tour the Chassahwitzka Wildlife Preserve, walk the birding
trail, ride the rails to trails. We
at Kayaks and Beyond offer a most unforgettable experience and tour via
kayaks. Come join us. For little more than a movie and snacks,
you’ll see Old Florida the way it was hundreds of years ago as most has still
been untouched. |

Kayaking is fun, and Kayaks and Beyond practices safety when
kayaking. We realize not everyone kayaks at the same level or expertise.
For that reason we have different skill levels of tours
available. Our guides make sure everyone
stays in a group and the slowest paddler sets the pace. Our boats are stable and our
guides are trained to handle an emergency. Each group guide carries a first aid kit, VHF radio, and has
training in CPR, First Aid, Basic Boating Skills Course, and are excellent
swimmers.
Our group tours
policy is "No Kayaker Left Behind. The slower kayaker will NOT
be left way behind the group. This is unsafe, and our guides will not allow
this.
Our tours are relaxed adding an easy, comfortable pace
that is set by the group. Learn
tips and paddle techniques from our more experienced paddlers on these
tours.
Join our more experienced paddlers on tours designed
for a faster pace and a longer distance where more skill is essential as
tides, currents, and wind may be a factor.
Overnight tours and camping trips are available and
planned by amount of interest. Please call for details. This will be an exciting experience in both
expedition kayaking and camping. |

BBQ.

appears twice in one month, ONLY about every 3 years. The “Thunder Moon” is in July. Then in October
will be our Haunted Halloween Kayak Tour, a
